Personal Reflections from the President & CEO

In a few weeks, Jews worldwide will come together with their families or congregate at their synagogues to observe Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur. For many of us, the high holidays serve as a time of reflection and renewal – an opportunity to take pause amid the hustle and bustle of our busy lives and reevaluate what is genuinely meaningful. It is also a time to think about our Jewish values of social action and community responsibility.

IN THE NEWS: Maccabi Athletes Volunteer at Jacobson Food Pantry

The nearly 1,000 athletes ages 12 to 16 participating in the JCC Maccabi Games — which was hosted by the Boca Raton-based Adolph & Rose Levis Jewish Community Center at venues around the Boca Raton area from Aug. 10-15 — took a half-day off from athletic competition to participate in JCC Cares community-service projects.

Women’s League of B’nai Torah Congregation Aids Jacobson Family Food Pantry

On Monday, March 24, several representatives from Women’s League of B’nai Torah Congregation visited the Jacobson Family Food Pantry to present a donation check for $3,000, a 50% increase over last year’s contribution.
