GREAT GOLF FOR A GREAT CAUSE: JFS Annual Tournament at Delaire
GREAT GOLF FOR A GREAT CAUSE sums up the wonderful day planned for those who love golf and care about supporting their community. Men and women throughout South Palm Beach County are in for a rewarding day of fun on the course and in the clubhouse at the Ruth & Norman Rales Jewish Family Services (JFS) Annual Golf Tournament. They’ll gather for registration and lunch at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, April 7, 2014 at Delaire Country Club, 4645 White Cedar Lane, Delray Beach. The Shotgun Tee-Off will be at 12:30 p.m.
Grand Benefactors Meryl and Ron Gallatin, and Shirley and Bart Weisman, and the Event Co-chairs Isabel & Arnie Friedman, Lisa & Robert Marton, and Diane & Jon Vogel, and committee members Larry Blair, Judi Donoff, Diane Feldman and Jon Kimmel are thoroughly committed to the cause, and to ensuring an extraordinary experience. The $390 individual player fee includes a buffet lunch, and afternoon of golf followed by a cocktail reception and awards dinner.
“The Golf Tournament is a wonderful way to support one of our community’s most vital human services agencies,” said Robert Marton. “Since 1979, thousands of people each year have come to depend on JFS for critical programs and services. With requests for help continually increasing, we need to make sure our most vulnerable neighbors have the help they need.”
“We are in for a great day of caring camaraderie at Delaire’s spectacular redesigned club, and our participants will also be thrilled to learn what a truly great organization they are benefiting,” said Arnie Friedman.
Added Jon Vogel, “Seeing what a difference JFS makes in our community with food and financial assistance, help for seniors including Holocaust survivors, counseling and mental health care and all our other vital programs and services always inspires us to do even more to help our community.”
Community members are invited to attend the reception and award dinner for $100, whether or not they attend the tournament. They’re also encouraged to help the effort by purchasing tickets for outstanding raffle prizes including: $1,500 retail credit for a Callaway or Titleist golf product from St. Andrews Country Club, a 50” Samsung LED Smart TV, His and Hers Samsung Galaxy Package – 10” and 7” tablets, Autographed Sports Memorabilia, great golf and lunch packages at St. Andrews Country Club, Delaire Country Club, Boca Raton Resort & Beach Club, and other fabulous prizes. The cost is $75 for one raffle ticket, or a book of four tickets for $200. Attendance at the drawing is not required to win.
Businesses and individuals are also invited to support the cause by joining Hole-in-One Golf Carts provider Sunshine Golf Cart Co. of Delray Beach, and Hole-in-One Luxury Car provider Millennium International Motor Cars of Boca Raton. Signage is courtesy of Sign-a-Rama. Sponsorships at a variety of levels offer great exposure and the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of so many neighbors in need.
