As a result of a task force JFS has set up to help identify the unmet needs of LGBTQ individuals and their families, JFS is sponsoring a “Community Conversation - Creating an Inclusive and Welcoming Environment for the LGBTQ Community and Their Families” on June 25th. The goal of the “Community Conversation” is for JFS to hear from the community at large to help identify the needs of this segment. The program will take place at Temple Beth El in Boca Raton from 7 PM – 9 PM.

Close to 200 seniors attended the Feldman Family Clubs’ Annual Senior Prom. The Prom caps the season of events for the Feldman Family Diamond Club which meets every Monday at the Shirley & Barton Weisman Delray Community Center.

Holocaust survivors recently gathered for “Nosh & Nachas” a socialization program held quarterly at the Weisman Delray Community Center. Translated literally, “food and happiness” this is what this program is all about to the Holocaust survivors who reside in Boca Raton and Delray Beach and are clients of the JFS Senior Services Department.

For the first time ever, JFS’ GREAT GOLF FOR A GREAT CAUSE sold out with a max participation of 144 golfers. Men and women throughout south Palm Beach County had a rewarding day of fun on the course and in the clubhouse while they supported those in need within our community.

Volunteers from Ruth & Norman Rales Jewish Family Services (JFS) participated in International Good Deeds Day, this past Sunday, March 15th. Participants delivered Passover items to clients of the Jacobson Family Food Pantry, a program of JFS, which serves residents in need in the Boca Raton, Highland Beach and Delray Beach areas.
