Shirley & Barton Weisman Delray Center Theater Group Performs Holiday Show

Boca Raton, FL – Ruth & Norman Rales Jewish Family Services (Rales JFS) offers many programs and services to South Palm Beach County residents. Among them are senior services, including the vibrant Shirley & Barton Weisman Delray Center, located at 7901 West Atlantic Avenue in Delray Beach. Their theater group, the Valiant Players, performed a spirited holiday program on Tuesday, December 3, 2024. “Holiday Cheer with a Touch of Disney” packed the main ballroom with an audience of all ages.

In the spirit of community, compassion, and tradition, 50 dedicated volunteers from Ruth & Norman Rales Jewish Family Services came together on Sunday, September 22, 2024 to deliver 500 meals to 250 clients. This initiative ensures that homebound seniors and other vulnerable clients can enjoy a warm meal and feel connected to the holiday season.

South Florida Jewish Family Services (JFS) organizations, in partnership with the Israel Trauma Coalition, are preparing to complete a series of sessions designed to train Jewish leaders in best practices in planning and implementation of psycho-social response to crises. Over the last few months, representatives from the Israel Trauma Coalition have been training professionals from Goodman JFS, Ferd & Gladys Alpert JFS, Ruth & Norman Rales JFS, and Jewish Community Services of South Florida so that they are able to respond immediately following a tragedy to provide on-the-ground trauma response.
