Rales JFS Advocates for Community Needs and Honors Holocaust Survivors in Tallahassee
Rales JFS President & CEO Danielle Hartman and Senior VP of Community Services Jackie Tureff were in Tallahassee meeting with elected officials to advocate for the needs of our community. Senator Mack Bernard attended as our sponsor for psychiatry and counseling, State Senator Lori Berman supports our Aging in Place program for seniors and Senator Tina Scott Polsky champions keeping families working with our summer camp scholarships. We are so grateful for their unwavering support and look forward to working with them in an effort to strengthen our community.
They also had the honor of placing a stone on the Florida Holocaust Memorial, which will be officially unveiled next week. Located at the Florida State Capitol, the memorial honors the memory of the six million Jews murdered in the Holocaust and serves as a reminder to never forget. It also features photos of some of the survivors we proudly care for and also deserved to be honored.

Building Bonds Through Mini-Golf:
A Day of Mentorship and Fun
On March 16th, our mentors and mentees gathered at Putt'N Around in Delray Beach for a day filled with fun, camaraderie, and mentorship. The group enjoyed a friendly round of mini-golf, with one participant even scoring two impressive holes-in-one. Following the activities, everyone came together for lunch, where meaningful conversations and connections were shared.
Events like these highlight the importance of building relationships and creating lasting positive memories. Thank you to all who participated and contributed to such a successful and enjoyable day.

Could You Eat on Just $6 a Day?
Rales JFS Takes the SNAP Challenge to Raise Awareness
Could you make ends meet on just $6 a day for food? Rales JFS took the SNAP Challenge for National Nutrition Month to further understand the tough choices many in our community face daily.
The SNAP Challenge asks participants to live on the average daily SNAP (food stamp) budget—just $6 per person per day on average. This challenge brings awareness to the struggles of food insecurity and the tough decisions families must make to stretch their budgets.
Food insecurity is real, but no one should go hungry. The Jacobson Family Food Pantry is here to help supplement what SNAP may not cover.
