Volunteers Bring Warmth and Joy to the Rales JFS Thanksgiving Banquet, Feeding Over 550 Seniors



We are deeply grateful to all the volunteers who joined us for the Rales JFS Thanksgiving Banquet! Because of your kindness, over 550 seniors in our community experienced the warmth and joy of Thanksgiving.


From setting up festive decorations to serving delicious meals and sharing smiles, your efforts created a memorable holiday for everyone who attended.

Woodfield Community Comes Together to Spread Joy:

A Thanksgiving Food Drive Success

A huge thank you to our incredible community for coming together to make this possible. Special appreciation goes to our dedicated co-chairs, Larry Blair, Michele Fisher, Robin Siegal, and Lori & Jason Soldkin, as well as our amazing Junior Co-Chairs, Abby Altschul, Tali Avivi, David Avivi, and Jordan Elias. Your leadership and hard work were truly inspiring!


Together, we collected non-perishable food items and generous monetary donations, sorted and packed the food into beautifully wrapped boxes, complete with homemade greeting cards. These packages were then delivered to residents in our community, spreading joy and warmth this Thanksgiving holiday.


Thank you, Woodfield, for your generosity and community spirit. Let's continue to make a difference together!

Volunteers Spread Light and Joy This Chanukah

On Monday, December 9th, volunteers from Rales JFS gathered at the Jacobson Family Food Pantry to pack festive Chanukah packages for those in need. These packages included traditional holiday items, sweets, handmade cards, and essential groceries, ensuring clients could celebrate with joy and dignity.


“Chanukah is a time to bring hope and light,” said Julie Weisberg, Vice President of the Pantry. The Jacobson Family Food Pantry remains committed to providing nourishment and connection year-round, and this holiday season, it created special moments for families in need.

Rales JFS Team Attends Summit Upward Mobility Conference to Empower Financial Growth and Development in the Community

Rales JFS employees Wendy Goodman, Associate VP of Financial Assistance, and Laurie Daube, Financial Assistance Case Manager, recently attended the Summit Upward Mobility Conference hosted by Palm Beach County. This conference focused on empowering our community with the tools and resources needed to advance economic growth and development. They are excited to apply what they have learned to continue enhancing the lives of the clients and their families at Rales JFS.

Celebrating the Season with Celebrity Chef Alan: Holiday Cooking Demonstration & Tasting!

Weisman Center members were in for a treat as Celebrity Chef Alan Bergman, courtesy of the Florida Blue Foundation, hosted a mouth-watering cooking demonstration and food tasting!

Chef Bergman showcased his culinary skills by preparing sweet potato latkes, a healthier twist on the classic latkes.

All ingredients used in the demo were sourced from the Jacobson Family Food Pantry, making it easy for everyone to recreate these delicious latkes at home. The attendees couldn't get enough of Chef Bergman's creations, with many coming back for seconds!

He shared the recipe with all of you so that you can taste for yourself just how good these are!

A big thank you to the Florida Blue Foundation for making this delightful event possible.

The Valiant Players Light Up the Weisman Center with Holiday Cheer and Disney Magic!


The Valiant Players brought the holiday spirit to life at the beautifully decorated Weisman Center on Tuesday, December 3rd! The audience enjoyed a delightful repertoire of holiday songs and Disney classics, all performed by these talented singers. It was clear to see how much planning and preparation went into making this show such a success.

A Place of Healing: Join the Cancer Support Community

Groups are facilitated virtually every first Tuesday of the month by Morgan Montel, LCSW. Teams link is provided after registering.


In-person meetings will also occur every third month at Temple Beth El, Beck Family Campus Location, from 8:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. A virtual option is also provided for these meetings. This initiative is a partnership between Rales JFS, Sharsheret, and Temple Beth EL.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for the Rales JFS Comedy Night with Disability Inclusion Advocate and Comedian, Pamela Rae Schuller! Your presence made the evening truly special as we laughed, learned, and celebrated the power of embracing our differences.


Thank you, Pamela Rae Schuller, for an unforgettable experience! Through your humor and powerful storytelling, you reminded us of the importance of loving ourselves and each other through our differences. Your journey, from overcoming one of the most severe cases of Tourette syndrome to becoming a globally recognized advocate and comedian, inspires resilience, inclusivity, and hope.


The evening was filled with laughter, heartfelt moments, and meaningful reminders about embracing inclusion and celebrating our differences. Pamela’s powerful stories and humor brought us together in a way that truly reflected the strength and love of our community. Together, we continue to create a more inclusive and compassionate world.
