How the Cooperman Center Helped Pablo Thrive

In June, Pablo’s mother turned to the Cooperman Center for help after moving from Cuba so her son, diagnosed with Autism, could access therapies. Despite his progress in speech, Pablo struggled with self-regulation and social skills in preschool. The Center provided speech, occupational, sensory, and social skills therapies at a reduced fee, helping him learn to communicate his needs, self-regulate, and interact with peers.

When school challenges persisted, the team discovered Pablo’s advanced intelligence and supported his mother through IEP (Individual Education Plan) meetings. With a Parent Advocate, Pablo was placed in gifted classes, where he is now thriving. The Cooperman Center’s comprehensive support changed his educational path and his future. His mother expressed gratitude to the staff at the Cooperman Center, sharing his successes in school.

Recap: 2025 Thanksgiving Banquet

What a beautiful Thanksgiving we shared together! 🧡

Thank you to the more than 600 seniors and adults with disabilities who joined us for our Annual Thanksgiving Day Banquet, co-hosted by Rales JFS and the Jewish Federation of South Palm Beach County. The room was filled with laughter, connection, and the comforting flavors of a holiday meal, complete with all the fixings and plenty of delicious desserts.

Most importantly, no one spent the holiday alone. The warmth of community spirit truly shined, and we’re grateful to every guest, volunteer, and partner who helped make the day meaningful. A special thank you to Etta & Raymond Zimmerman for generously underwriting this wonderful gathering for so many years. Also, thank you to the Estate of Martin and Edith Stein for providing the gift bags and gift that each guest received.

We’re already looking forward to celebrating together again next year! 🦃 💛

Woodfield Feeds the Hungry Brings Thanksgiving Cheer to Local Families

On Wednesday, November 26, Woodfield residents once again came together for the 17th Annual Woodfield Feeds the Hungry, continuing a long-standing tradition of generosity and community spirit.

This year’s effort was guided with dedication by Event Co-Chairs Larry Blair, Michele Fisher, Robin Siegal, and Lori & Jason Solodkin, along with Junior Co-Chairs Tali & David Avivi. Thanks to the tremendous support of the Woodfield community, residents donated food, made monetary contributions, and volunteered their time to sort, decorate, pack, and deliver meals to 150 households across our local area.

We extend our heartfelt appreciation to our in-kind sponsors, whose contributions made an even greater impact:

• Roy Camhi – Produce

• Imperial Dade (Mark Davis) – Paper towels & dish soap

• Unified Wholesale Grocers – Libby’s canned vegetables

• Summer Fairman / B’nai Torah – Hygiene kits

A touching note from one grateful recipient reminds us why this program matters so deeply:

"I'm both impressed and very grateful to have had such a beautiful family knock on my door about an hour ago. A couple and their son, immediately asking where he could put the box (kitchen counter of course). My thanks and your giving was made complete by you and everyone at Rales JFS from you right to the people who delivered that box earlier. My sincere gratitude."
