Danielle N. Hartman, MNM President & CEO
Danielle N. Hartman joined Ruth & Norman Rales Jewish Family Services (JFS) as President and CEO in March 2010. Under her leadership, the operating budget has grown to over $20M, and endowments and investible assets have grown to $15M. Since joining the organization, she has focused on diversifying the way the agency is funded, specifically by growing programs which generate fees, and strengthening community partnerships to expand services.
Danielle received her M.S. in Nonprofit Management from FAU in 2010 and was recognized by FAU in 2017 as a Distinguished Alumna. In addition to her role at JFS, she currently is active on the Board of Advisors for the FAU Sandler School of Social Work, the FAU School of Public Administration Advisory Board, and the United Way’s Palm Beach County Hungry Relief Advisory Committee. She is a past Board Member of the National Association of Jewish Human Service Agencies (NJHSA) and has presented at several conferences on a variety of topics including women in the workforce, diversifying revenue streams, and governance. She is currently working with the FAU Sandler School of Social Work on content for two asynchronous modules on strategic planning and the business side of running a non-profit as part of their management certification program.
Beth Levine, Chief Operating Officer, Senior VP
As Chief Operating Office of RNRJFS, Beth oversees all of the programs at the agency. Beth played an integral role in the establishment of the food pantry in 1996 and carefully helped it grow into a $500K entity. Beth also developed the best practices and standards of the financial assistance department which are still being used today.
Beth received the Employee of the Year award in 2011 and was recognized the same year at the NJHSA conference for her outstanding years of services as a true asset to the organization.
Beth’s career at the agency spans over 30 years as a proven leader and outstanding professional. Beth has worn many hats over the past 30 years. Her tenure lends itself to have the ability to represent the agency in the community and be a great resource to the lay leaders as well.
Beth earned her BBA in Marketing and Finance from the University of Miami.
Amanda Nickeson Chief of Institutional Advancement
Previously, Amanda was the Assistant VP, Institutional Advancement for the Harbor Branch Oceanographic Institute at Florida Atlantic University, where she helped shape the fundraising goals, marketing plans, policies and protocols for the University. Prior to FAU, Amanda spent 11 years at The Nature Conservancy (TNC) where she built a new model for fundraising in a wealth-poor region, gaining organization-wide attention and setting an example for programs facing similar challenges. Before that, Amanda served as the Director of Development at Pittsburgh’s PBS station, WQED, where she received a Mid-Atlantic Emmy nomination and worked with Mister Rogers, an experience she considers a career highlight.
Amanda is also a proud founding member of “Chief,” a private network built to drive more women into positions of power and keep them there.
Ronald Corbin, LCSW Senior VP of Behavioral Health Services
Alice Tennis, MSW, Senior VP of Senior Services
As Vice President of Senior Services, Alice is responsible for overseeing the delivery of services for Holocaust Survivors, caregivers of older adults, volunteer-based programs and services for frail seniors in the community. Alice carries this out through program development, evaluation and supervising an active team of social workers and professionals. Her team is passionate about the health and independence of older adults.
Alice is adept at leveraging partnerships with the Conference on Jewish Material Claims Against Germany (the Claims Conference), the Area Agency on Aging for Palm Beach/Treasure Coast, Uniper Technologies, Fairstead Affordable Housing and community volunteers. These partnerships enable her team to serve over 500 older adults annually.
Alice has over 30 years of experience in the field of aging including caregiver support group facilitation, social work in senior housing, supervising interns and program management. On a daily basis, she responds to questions from the community about senior resources and referrals to programs. Alice is also involved in public education workshops (such as Elder Concert) and panels related to seniors.
Alice’s undergraduate degree is in Special Education, which means that disability services are also important to her. She obtained her MSW from the Carver School of Social Work in Louisville, Kentucky.
Aliyah Longhurst, LMFT, BCBA, VP of Toby and Leon Cooperman Therapy & Family Resource Center
As VP for the Toby and Leon Cooperman Therapy and Family Resource Center, Aliyah Longhurst has driven and overseen the development of the Center’s exciting new multidisciplinary program, offering a variety of therapy services for children from birth to age 22. Aliyah has been influential in creating groups and therapy offerings to support each child who comes to the Cooperman Center, as well as providing support and education to help families thrive. By building relationships with our community partners, local schools and preschools, and hiring an amazing team of quality professions, Aliyah is utilizing her vast experience to provide quality wraparound services available to families in one location, with financial assistance available as needed.
A native from SoCal, Aliyah comes to JFS with over 20 years of experience working with children in the mental/behavioral health field. In her previous role as Regional Director of ABA services for Palm Beach County, Aliyah was able to grow and expand ABA services for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other diagnoses across the region, and provide support and parent training for families.
Aliyah received her undergraduate degrees from the University of California, San Diego, and her Master’s Degree from Chapman University. She became Licensed as a Marriage and Family Therapist in 2005. After relocating to Florida, Aliyah continued her education in Applied Behavior Analysis, obtaining her BCBA Certification in 2009.
Jaclyn Tureff, LCSW, Senior VP of Community Services
As Senior VP of Community Services Jaclyn oversees the following JFS Programs, Meals on Wheels, Food Pantry, Community Outreach, Domestic Abuse Education and Action and Special Needs. Jaclyn started her career at JFS in 2015 as a Community Outreach Coordinator and became the Program Director a few years later. In 2021, she was promoted to VP of the Financial Assistance Department and Meals on Wheels Program. A year later, she moved into her new position as Senior VP. Through the years at JFS, Jaclyn has had experience working with various populations in our community, providing supportive counseling, support groups, trainings, financial assistance, and more. Jaclyn loves working with and helping people in the community in which she was raised and currently lives.
Jaclyn received her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Kansas and then went on for her Masters of Social Work at Wurzweiler School of Social Work. Prior to joining JFS, Jaclyn worked in a trauma hospital in New York City, helping patients and families cope with their diagnoses. Jaclyn received her license in Clinical Social Work in 2015.
Julie Weisberg, VP of the Jacobson Family Food Pantry
Julie Weisberg was born and raised in Miami. She joined JFS in 2015 as a Community Outreach Coordinator and Case Manager for the Jacobson Family Food Pantry. In 2019, Julie was promoted to Director of the Food Pantry. Before joining JFS, she worked at various non-profit organizations in community outreach and held education positions. She graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Environmental Education and has a Masters of Education (MEd) from the Ohio State University in Secondary Science Education.
Isabela Abad-Ramirez, Chief Financial Officer, VP of Finance
Isabela Abad-Ramirez became the Chief Financial Officer in September 2023. In her role she oversees the operations of the finance department and all grant-related reporting and management. She joined JFS in 2014 as the Fiscal Grants Administrator, where her supervision of the increased funding for services to Holocaust survivors and other programs yielded successful annual audit outcomes from independent accounting firms as well as private, county, and state grantors.
JFS selected Isabela to attend the 2017 March of the Living trip to Poland and Israel, after which she wrote “My March of the Living Experience” article published in Illumination Magazine. In 2018, JFS recognized Isabela as Employee of the Year.
Isabela received a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Data Analytics from the Executive MBA Program at Florida Atlantic University (FAU). She previously graduated Magna Cum Laude from FAU with a bachelor’s degree in Experimental Psychology and a minor in Criminology.
Born in Ecuador, Isabela moved to the United States after graduating high school. She is fluent in Spanish and English and an avid reader in both languages.
