Volunteer Opportunities

Feldman Family Diamond Club volunteers are very much appreciated at our Monday morning social club for seniors (75 years and older). A variety of opportunities are available including registering members, helping in the kitchen with the late morning refreshments, or assisting members with craft projects that are then donated to hospitals and other needy organizations.

Telephone Reassurance Calls provides telephone companionship to frail, elderly, and homebound recipients through daily calls from compassionate and skilled volunteers. Call notes are kept and appropriate professional assistance is sought if there are concerns about the client.

Reception/Greeters are the friendly volunteers who are the first face the patrons encounter.  Volunteers need to be able to handle multiple tasks, have patience with good organizational skills all in an extremely fast paced atmosphere.

Blume Cafe'is open 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. with volunteers working in two shifts.  Volunteers must be comfortable working with food, serving patrons and clean up duties.

Cards/Games volunteers provide assistance to patrons teaching them the rules of the games and helping them understand the strategies for successful play.

Lecturers/Instructors who are willing to give of their time and expertise are always appreciated.  These may include a variety of topics with which the volunteer may have acquired during their career or lifelong pursuit.
