September is Hunger Action Month, and We Need YOU

Join Rales JFS in the fight against hunger by:

Could you live on just $6 a day for food? That’s the average SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) benefit — and the reality for many living in our community.

This Hunger Action Month, Rales JFS invites you to take the SNAP Challenge and experience firsthand the struggles of food insecurity and the tough decisions families must make to stretch their budgets. Food insecurity is real, but no one should go hungry. The Jacobson Family Food Pantry is here to help supplement what SNAP may not cover. For Food Assistance, call Rales JFS at (561) 852-3333.

Join the Jacobson Family Food Pantry Challenge!

Help us stock the shelves and support our community! Each month, we'll focus on collecting a different type of food. The person who collects the most will be announced at the end of the month on our social media channels. Consider hosting a food drive in your neighborhood to gather even more donations.

How to Participate:

1. Collect as many items as you can for the monthly challenge. For online Amazon orders, visit online. Please include your name for entry to be counted.
2. Drop off or ship your donations at the Jacobson Family Food Pantry.
3. Follow us on social media for updates and winner announcements! @RalesJFS

Students who participate in the challenge will receive an hour of volunteer time.

Suicide Awareness Month

This September, we join communities across the country in bringing light to Suicide Awareness Month.

At Rales JFS, we believe that no one should struggle alone. Our Behavioral Health Services provide counseling, psychiatry, and support groups for individuals and families in need.

Together, we can reduce stigma, spread hope, and support those who need it most.

An Unforgettable Performance at the Weisman Center

What a show! The Shirley & Barton Weisman Delray Community Center was filled with music, joy, and memories as The Valiant Players took us Back to Broadway. From beloved classics to show-stopping numbers, it was a performance to remember.

A heartfelt thank you to their Artistic Director Peter Vincent, Music Director Wally Childs, and of course our gracious sponsor and Weisman member, Merle Glass, for making this event possible, in loving memory of her husband Kenneth Glass z”l.
