Holocaust survivors recently gathered for “Nosh & Nachas” a socialization program held quarterly” at the Weisman Delray Community Center. Translated literally, “food and happiness” this is what this program is all about to the Holocaust survivors who reside in Boca Raton and Delray Beach and are clients of the JFS Senior Services Department.

Guests enjoyed a kosher light lunch with entertainment provided by the Holocaust Survivor Band, a klezmer band featuring Holocaust survivors Saul Dreier and Reuwen (“Ruby”) Sosnowicz.

“Nosh & Nachas” provides Holocaust survivors the opportunity to socialize with each other, a truly meaningful and valuable experience that fosters kinship and improves their well-being. Many of the survivors that JFS affords services to are homebound therefore they were provided with transportation to attend this special event.
