Get Your Green On: Rales JFS Brings Mental Health Awareness to Life with Community, Conversation & a Splash of Green
What does mental health awareness look like? At Rales JFS, it looks like a plaza full of green, smiles, and meaningful moments.
On May 15th, we celebrated Mental Health Awareness Month in style at our #GetYourGreenOn event, complete with refreshments, games, prizes, and powerful conversations that reminded us: taking care of your mind is just as important as taking care of your body.
Thank you to everyone who showed up, stood up, and dressed up in green to support the cause!

The Rales JFS Outreach team also hit the road, visiting community partners across town to spread awareness, spark conversations, and share a little joy, complete with green gear and goody bags!
Thank you to everyone who proudly wore green and joined us in showing that mental health matters, today and every day.

Community Mentoring Program Hits the Lanes for a Day of Fun
and Connection
Our Rales JFS Community Mentoring Program mentors and mentees had a fun-filled outing at Bowlero, a perfect day of connection, laughter, and a little friendly competition. We handed out ribbons to each mentor and mentee with the most strikes, and medals to the top-scoring team, but it was a nail-biter! All three lanes were separated by just one point: 459, 460, and 461!
These moments outside the usual routine help build lasting relationships and remind us just how impactful mentorship can be.
Thank you to everyone who joined us, we’re already looking forward to the next one!
Want to learn more about becoming a mentor or enrolling a child? Contact Rales JFS at (561) 852-3333 or info@ralesjfs.org.

Congratulations to Laurie Daube, Rales JFS Employee of the Year!
Rales JFS is proud to announce that Laurie Daube, Financial Assistance Case Manager, is our Employee of the Year. Laurie plays a vital role in managing requests for financial assistance and providing compassionate case management, all with the goal of assisting families in achieving financial independence. She also is responsible for identifying families who qualify for the Jacobson Family Food Pantry, ensuring no one in our community goes without essential support. Wendy Goodman, V.P. of Financial Assistance, shared, "Laurie is an exceptional employee and being awarded the Employee of the Year is well suited. She never says no to requests and when she sees a co-worker falling behind, she is the first to offer her help. Clients love her and are comforted by her kindness in all situations. Laurie is a wonderful person inside and out and is most deserving of this honor."
Laurie is an asset to Rales JFS and shining example of dedication, empathy, and excellence. Please join us in congratulating Laurie on this well-earned recognition.

Rales JFS and JFS at Home Annual Staff Meeting: Celebrating Employee Milestones and Honoring COO Beth Levine’s Retirement
Last week, the teams from Rales JFS and JFS at Home came together for a morning of reflection, recognition, and celebration.
We honored incredible employee milestones—5, 10, and 15 years of service, Employee of the Year—and gave a heartfelt sendoff to our beloved Chief Operating Officer, Beth Levine, as she embarks on her well-earned retirement.
Our fabulous “Sparkle Squad” (aka the masterminds behind all our social events) brought the fun with creative icebreakers, exciting raffles, and a photo booth decked out with funky glasses and hilarious signs. The highlight? A rockstar-worthy prize from Seminole Hard Rock—a guitar and a night’s stay at the hotel, awarded to the one and only Wendy Goodman, who attended every staff event this year!
We wrapped up the celebration with a delicious lunch and the best part of all: simply enjoying time together as one big Rales JFS family.
Here’s to another year of impact, connection, and community!
