IN THE NEWS: Polo Club raises funds for Ruth Rales program

Last week the Community Relations Committee of the Polo Club in Boca Raton presented Ruth Rales Jewish Family Service with a check for $7,100.
The fundraising for the non-for profit charity took place over two weeks last month. Over the past seven years, The Polo Club in Boca Raton has raised over $37,000 for the Ruth Rales Jewish Family Services Cards for Kids Program.
Roni Brockman, chairperson of the Polo Club's Community Relations Committee commented on her involvement with the RRJFS. "We love giving back to the community. The residents of the Polo Club are very generous. We are thrilled to be able to present this check to Ruth Rales. The check we presented them with today was for over $2,000 more than last year."
RRJFS is a non-sectarian, non-for-profit organization that offers help and hope through there comprehensive range of programs and services which support people of all ages and beliefs. The funds presented by the Polo Club will go toward purchasing gift cards for children served by the RRJFS whose families are experiencing financial difficulties.
"The partnership with the Polo Club is wonderful," Beth Levine, director of programs at RRJFS said. "They are a very committed group of people who really want to help children. The members understand that there are many children in our community whose families don't have enough to pay for school supplies or clothing. What is extremely heartwarming is that the donations from the Polo Club increases every year."
According to RRJFS's website, "With locations in Boca Raton and Delray Beach, JFS programs and services include food and financial assistance, senior services, counseling and mental health services and many volunteer opportunities. Funding is provided by private and corporate support, grants, special events and individuals who support our mission and bring hope to thousands in need.".
Brett Morris, general manager and COO of the Polo Club commented on his relationship with RRJFS. "This is a great organization. It is a wonderful feeling that the Polo Club is able to give back to a local charity whose goal it is to help children in our community."
