Bogarts’ Directed Giving Inspires as it Helps
In the spring of 2013, the Jacobson Family Food Pantry at JFS received a generous gift of $10,000 from Jeanette and Frederick Bogart. The Bogarts had received our Annual Passover letter and immediately went down to the food pantry with a check for $10,000.
When asked about their motivation for their great generosity, Mr. Bogart simply said, “We don’t like to see people go hungry. My wife and I have been incredibly blessed and we wanted to share with those in need. We have made food deliveries and have seen firsthand the needs that exist. We just want to do our part.”
Our community is so grateful to the Bogarts and we wanted to share with you this inspirational story. The Jacobson Family Food Pantry at JFS currently serves over 613 individuals with supplemental food packages twice a month. For more information on all giving opportunities please contact me.
